I’m Suzanne and happy to be a part of Chico Massage Therapy. I’m originally from Buffalo, New York and I moved here in 2007 to be close to family. I received my massage training from the New York Institute of Massage and graduated in 2006 with 1100 hours of study which included courses in anatomy, physiology, myology, pathology, massage techniques, oriental massage, medical massage, and massage for spa. It was an intense program but I truly enjoyed every moment of massage school and that feeling has continued into my practice. Since moving here I am proud to say I am certified by the California Massage Therapy Council #23695. I’ve continued my study with additional massage training in reflexology, lomi lomi massage, and myofascial release. On a side note, I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Buffalo State College in Design and have a very creative and artistic side to my personality which comes through in my massage practice. I prefer to work intuitively and say I work from the heart.
